Equinix Payments Innovation Council - EPIC

Equinix is home to many of the most important companies in the digital commerce ecosystem. Our goal is to help companies within this ecosystem find new pathways of interconnection that allow them to leverage new business models and to position themselves for future success. We can enable new connectivity to enterprise, networks, and cloud platforms in a PCI compliant and data neutral environment. Operating more than 180 data centers globally, in 44 markets, including all 5 of the major financial centers we can support both fintech and traditional FS customers, continually innovate their offering by forming new partnerships (ie loyalty, targeted offers and credit decisioning) and scale their business.

To drive awareness of the development of the payments ecosystem Equinix Asia has launched EPIC – the Equinix Payments Innovation Council – which has already staged successful round-table events in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Bringing together industry experts to share views and discuss opportunities on the future of payments, the goal is to forge new connections and the chance to build new solutions. Typical events are lunch roundtables (90 minutes) with 20-40 participants, all focused on payments –titles include heads of business development, CTO, CIO, CEO for Fintechs, Heads of Innovation, Product Heads and General Managers. The nature of the conversations tends toward business and commercial challenges, trends and opportunities and less on the technical IT infrastructure specifics.
